Strategic evaluation of an acquisition target of an automotive supplier

Client Situation:

The client was number two in his field and wanted to acquire number 3 which was the faster growing company with high technological competence and present in the product segment with higher ROCE.
Objective of the acquisition was to get market leadership, a better cost position, to complete the product offering and to acquire missing technological competence.

Our Approach:

We did the strategic evaluation of the individual as well as the merged companies, a detailed SWAT analysis and a detailed financial planning of the merged company.
We evaluated the value of the target company including merger synergies and costs. We assisted in the due diligence and in the negotiation process.
